Writing a letter to the
editor of your local paper is a great way to share your support of Ben
Westlund with other readers. Letters to the editor convey messages that
are of importance to the community and are a good method of education.
The Committee to Elect Ben
Westlund invites supporters to write to their local editors about Ben
and his independent message for Oregonians. Here are a few tips on
writing letters to the editor:
Keep your letter short and concise (check with your paper for word
limit).
Make your point in the first paragraph.
Stick to a single subject.
Localize your message.
Make sure your letter is logically
organized.
Include your name, address, phone number
and signature so editors can confirm authenticity.
Pick an issue that you are
interested in. Tell them why Ben Westlund is a leader who has always put ideas
before ideology and will continue to what is right for Oregon as Governor!
If you wish to write a letter but are not sure how, please feel free to contact
