Ben returns to the House Floor after a stay in the
hospital for cancer surgery. Ben calls for a new
perspective on state policy and an end to gridlock.
Senate Bill 161 became a replacement of Ben's bill SB 602.
The bill would have created a nonpartisan state government, but
died in the House after passing the Senate.
The
Oregon Youth Challenge Program is a program designed to help
at-risk youth and has been vigorously supported by Ben.
Here, Ben addresses the 2005 graduates of the program.

not in anybody's pocket. I really admire him for having the
courage to stand up for what he believes." Gert Boyle,

"Today,
Oregon needs strong leadership. As the parent of a student that
attends public schools, I believe Ben will be a champion for the
students and their future." Elizabeth Blackney,
Bend
"He
is determined to make this place we call Oregon a better place,
for all Oregonians." Ernest Bloch,
